ABOUT Beta AlphA Psi

Found in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information students and professional. There are over 300 chapters on college and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation.

The purpose of Beta Alpha Psi is to:

- recognize outstanding academic achievements in the field of accounting, finance, and information systems;

- promote the study and practice of professional fields related to these disciplines;

-provide opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing financial professionals;

- encourage a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibilities

Our History

Since 1988, Western Kentucky University's Accounting Department has been home to the Eta Omicron chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. As a nationally recognized accounting honor society, Beta Alpha Psi's mission is to encourage and give recognition to accounting students who exhibit exceptional scholastic and professional excellence. Our chapter has consistently been recognized as a Superior Chapter for the past sixteen years. At the 2020 Annual Meeting, the Eta Omicron chapter was recognized as a Gold Chapter for the first time our chapter's history.
